Tsunami?

All right - so everybody out there has been inundated with tsunami crap over the past two weeks - and I for one can't stand it anymore.

Have you donated to the tsunami fund for blah blah blah....? No? Well aren't you a selfish piece of work?

I'm sick of it quiet frankly. What about the mud slides in California? Why didn't they get any money? How about the floods this country has along the Mississippi or all the other natural disasters that happen here every year? I'm sorry that so many people died or got there homes taken away or their farm land was drowned but what about us?

To you I pose this question:

How come this country never thinks of itself fisrt and when it does its own people find the use of money selfish? Why can't we take care of our own and not be the saviors of the world for once? Would it be that bad to make the land where dreams come true a country that actually upholds there own people over the problems that the rest of the world has? Isn't it bad enough that our people are dying to save the middle eastern ingrates?

What has happened to us?

The new job

It's been about two weeks since I walked out of Best Buy for the last time as an employee and about one week since I walked into the Citizen's Bank training center as one of theirs. My opinion so far? I don't know if I have one entirely. I do know that I still don't feel like I'm really working. Between my more controlled hours and the fact that training sessions have kept me off the floor I still don't know if I even like the job!

I have however made a choice to get myself out of the traditional "9-5". I went down to Westfield State College with a friend of mine for the Graduate program information session and have decided to go back to school and (fingers crossed) become a secondary history teacher. The only problem is having to take the Miller's analogy test and the stupid MTEL....
